June–August (Winter): frost mornings, wood-fire dinners, occasional snow flurries. Brass Monkey Season — many wineries serve mulled wine.
September–November (Spring): wildflowers carpet Girraween, baby kangaroos appear on the lawns.
December–February (Summer): cool nights compared to Brisbane, rock pools at Girraween, strawberries at Suttons.
